The Society for Emerging Trends in Dynamical Systems (SETDS) was formed to bring together experts from different fields to work together and better understand systems that change under complex and connected influences. With a mission to promote excellence in theoretical research, computational modeling, and real-world applications of dynamical systems and challenges, SETDS was formally established on 25th July 2024 and registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Reg. No. AGR/04020/2024-2025), in Uttar Pradesh, India.
In a time of rapid technological progress, global challenges, and fast-changing environments, the need for a society to promote teamwork and research in system dynamics became clear.
Built on a strong academic foundation, SETDS aims to create a future-ready knowledge network. It acts as a center for learning, innovation, and professional exchange in areas like mathematics, physics, computer science, biological systems, and engineering sciences.
The Society was established by nine visionary founding members, including the distinguished leaders:
Prof. Ayub Khan President
Prof. Ayub Khan is a distinguished mathematician, researcher, and academic leader whose illustrious career reflects a lifelong commitment to advancing the mathematical sciences. After completing his Ph.D. from the University of Delhi in 1995, he embarked on a path of impactful research in dynamical systems, chaotic and hyper-chaotic financial models, and nonlinear analysis. His pioneering work on satellite oscillations, synchronization, and the mathematical modeling of complex systems has found applications in diverse fields, including nanotechnology and space sciences. Over the past three decades, Prof. Khan has not only published his research extensively in leading international journals but has also mentored numerous doctoral scholars, thereby shaping the next generation of researchers. His academic journey has been marked by significant contributions to the University of Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia, where his teaching, research, and leadership have greatly enriched institutional life. Complementing his scholarly achievements, he has also excelled as an administrator, serving in senior academic positions, including Pro Vice-Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad, where he promoted innovation, collaboration, and institutional growth. Widely respected for his vision, scholarship, and commitment to education, Prof. Ayub Khan continues to inspire the mathematical sciences community worldwide.
Prof. R. K. Srivastav Vice President
Prof. R. K. Shrivastav is a highly accomplished mathematician, educator, and academic leader with more than three decades of excellence in teaching, research, and mentorship. Currently serving as Head of the Department of Mathematics at Agra College, Agra, he has made significant contributions to Fluid Dynamics and Inventory Management in Operations Research, publishing numerous research papers in reputed national and international journals. Renowned for his academic vision and guidance, he has mentored and inspired a large number of research scholars, many of whom have established successful academic and professional careers. In addition to his research contributions, Prof. Shrivastav has authored several widely respected books, Mechanics, Algebra and Trigonometry, Calculus, and Integral Transform, which continue to serve as valuable resources for students and educators. Admired for his scholarship, leadership, and dedication to the advancement of mathematical sciences, he remains deeply committed to promoting innovation, nurturing talent, and strengthening the research community.
Their dedication, foresight, and leadership laid the groundwork for SETDS to grow into a premier organization fostering collaborative research, capacity building, and public engagement in the field of dynamical systems.
